Whoever goes first wins!

This doesn’t happen all the time but it happens a lot. I’m at a point in the game where I can consistently hit 100 points every time and my opponents can too. My issue is that whenever my opponents go first we will usually get around the same score but they will win on their 9th dart while I only got to throw 6 darts. I believe the player that goes 2nd should get to throw as many darts as the first player got to throw. This way the games aren’t whoever throws first wins. In the case of a tie just reset back to 101 for each player and go until there is a winner. That’s just one idea of how to solve this issue. I really enjoy this game but it gets frustrating whenever I lose because I got to throw 9 darts to my opponents 12 darts whenever I could win in 11 darts and win.

Ok I just played another game in which I started second. After 9 darts thrown for both players I had 20 points and my opponent had 81. Now credit to my opponent for hitting their shots, they checked out on 81 but they got to throw 12 darts and I got to throw 9 darts. What should happen is my opponent checks out then I get a chance to win. Remember I had 20 points left I could have won in 10 or 11 darts, but I don’t get a chance to try because my opponent went first.

Part 3: I have another story, I just got done with another game my opponent was kicking my butt after 6 darts I had 141 to their 81 but I had the first throw. So with my last three darts I hit the treble 20 the treble 17 then the double 15 and closed out, but my opponent who was throwing very well should have gotten a chance to close out with their 3 darts they didn’t get to throw. I got to throw 9 darts while they only got 6. This game needs changes.

See in live darts you do what they call “diddle” to see who gets to throw first. That is just the way darts are. There is no matching or redemption shot. Everyone that throws darts in real life knows that going first is just the advantage. Most leagues play multiple matches too, So whoever loses gets to go first on the next one and it’s best of 11 (at least for the league I’m in 5 games of 501 5 games of cricket and 1 game of 701). I don’t thunk you should be able to try to match it but I think if you diddled off the start to choose who got to go first or played a 3 game set would even the matches out and the better player would win not just the one who gets to go first. My thoughts anyway.

Thanks I did not know that. I would also like to see the diddle system for best of 1 games, and maybe they could add an actual competitive game that’s best of three for league play.
